Law-enforcement requests
We require lawful process. Please send a request that identifies:
- the issuing authority and the legal provision relied on;
- the account or URL concerned, precisely;
- exactly what is sought.
We disclose only what the process actually compels, and no more. A request for "all information" gets the narrowest lawful reading.
Notice to users
Where we are permitted to tell the affected person that their data has been requested, we will, before disclosure where possible. Where a valid legal order forbids it, we will not — and we will say so publicly in aggregate when we are able to.
What we hold
Less than you may expect. See what we never collect — there is no date of birth, no government ID, no marks, and no health information on this site to disclose.
Preservation
We will honour a lawful preservation request while an order is obtained.
Content takedown
Rights holders should use copyright complaints, which is faster.
