Cookie policy

Which cookies this site sets, and what each one is for.

Last reviewed 27 July 2026

The short version

This site sets one cookie, and only after you do something that needs it.

What we set

Cookie Category Why How long
Session cookie Strictly necessary Keeps you signed in, and carries the CSRF token that stops other sites submitting forms as you The browser session, or 90 days if you chose "keep me signed in" — 24 hours if you marked the device as shared

That is the entire list.

What we do not set

Pages you can read without an account set no cookies at all. If you have never signed in, this site does not put anything in your browser.

Why there is no cookie banner

Because there is nothing to consent to. A banner asking permission for a strictly necessary session cookie would be theatre, and it would train you to click "accept" without reading — which is how consent gets meaningless.

If analytics or any non-essential cookie is ever added, a real consent control will arrive with it, defaulting to off, and this page will say so.

Turning them off

You can block cookies in your browser. Everything free to read stays readable. You will not be able to sign in, because signing in is what the cookie is for.
