DAV College in Sector 10 is the only institution in the Tricity where psychology can be pursued from a bachelor's degree all the way to a PhD without changing colleges: its prospectus lists an MA in Psychology with forty seats, doctoral work in the subject, and BA routes carrying psychology at ordinary, honours and honours-with-research levels. The department runs with six faculty members and two dedicated psychology laboratories. The college is affiliated to Panjab University, holds a NAAC 'A' grade, and has figured in the NIRF college rankings.
